Line Editing
Once your manuscript has been developed and gone through several rounds of self-editing, a line (on manuscripts that require "heavy" hand) is ideal. This service will ensure that the text is ready to either be sent to a literary agent or publisher for consideration. If self-publishing, it ensures the next is ready to be formatted into a book file.
At times, a line edit will need to be followed up with a copyedit to ensure the text is truly ready for submission of self-publishing.

Rewriting to Strengthen Prose
When a line edit is employed, it generally means that a manuscript was written without care, or that the writer does not have the skill quite yet to full articulate their thoughts (put what's in their head onto the page).
We will use our knowledge and skill as editorial professionals to home in on trouble areas in the text and lightly "rewrite" some of the text to ensure that the writer message is intact. Also, we will make adjustments where mood and tone and style don't match up to the context of a scene, a character behavior, storyline, or other facet of the manuscript.
Line edits are heavy copy edits that are only recommended when it is "difficult" to understand the author's intention in the prose.
